Lake Ida Fishing Trips

Great experience! A cold front was in place and the conditions were tough, however, Captain Mike put my wife and I on a few quality Peacock Bass. Captain Mike's passion for fishing and knowledge of the local water made the trip memorable. Thank you Captain Mike for a great day!

Escape From New York Cold Peacock Bass fishing in Delray Beach FL was good fun. Lots of action and beautiful scenery. Captian Mike knee his way around the lake and all the canals.

Amazing fishing!!! We has an amazing time. Our guide was Capt Jose Carbonell, he was friendly, knowledgeable and put us on the fish we wanted to catch immediately. We had an amazing time catching a fish basically every couple minutes. Everything was taken care of by Jose and he help make the fishing easy. We were there for peacock bass and caught a bunch. Many were above the 4lb mark providing long, reel screaming fights. Other highlights were the cichlids and clown knife fish which provided tough fights when they rocket out of the water after being hooked. I would definitely go out with Jose again and would recommend his services to everyone.

Awesome experience! From talking with Liz on the phone, to Capt Mike calling me, to Capt Brett guiding me to 20 fish as promised! I wish I could go everyday! Peacock bass fishing is awesome with the right crew!

Excellent Day on the water We had an awesome time fishing Lake Ida with Captain Wayne Fallows for Peacock Bass. We came down for a long weekend do do a variety of fishing, and we started out our bass trip feeling kind of bummed because we got in with a not so great deep sea guide service the day before, but our trip with Wayne was definitely a pick me up and the highlight of our 4 day trip. We took his advice and got live shiners to fish with, which definitely paid off! We fish quite a bit but he was great with showing us some new techniques we had never done before. He got us on the fish first thing in the morning and we were on them our whole 4 hour trip. He also gave us some information to get us in the right direction for a deep sea trip if we ever wanted to come down again, which I definitely would. If you are looking for a Florida fishing excursion, look no further than Bass Online. Every interaction with them was easy from booking our trip, to changing our location, all they way through to being dropped back at the boat dock. Every time I had a question they were a quick Facebook message away with a fast response.

Captain Mike Groshon is THE BEST This was a last minute trip and I booked without doing much research. Turns out this was not the best time of year to fish this area. Lots of recent rain and more coming... Captain Mike explained our options and we went fishing. Caught a total of 5 different species of fish in the 4 hrs we were on the water. Mostly Peacock bass and largemouth bass. It was a great day. Plan to head back south during the high season and fish with Mike again! Great guy, great guide, great all around!

Peacock Bass Fishing w/ Capt Mike Groshon iOutdoors was easy to deal with last minute and offered a very fair Half and Full day rate. The true hero however was Capt. Mike Groshon. I think we got the best Guide? I took my 14 year old with me who is a good little fisherman but we were fishing docks in tight canals so doing a lot of flipping baits into tight places. We each got hung up and broke lines multiple times and Capt Mike instead of being angry about retying his 14th knot kept telling us,"if ur not getting hung up ur not fishing!" What a great attitude. I am a Marine Corps Veteran and found out so is his wife and his son currently serves Navy intelligence. We had a blast with him and he was so kind to my son I just had to reach deep in my pocket for a stellar Captains tip that was well deserved. This post doesnt offer enough room for me to tell you about what a great guide Mike was. Just know I use about 15 guides a year from fresh water to salt water to fly fishing rivers and salt water flats. Guides can be nice on the surface( they want tips) but you can tell they are a bit prickly regarding your casting or hangups etc....Mike is not that guy. Big Heart and expert bass fisherman. If you can get him...Book it!!!! Mark M

Fishing Lake Ida A very good introduction to fly fishing, excellent. great experience, I was able to catch 7 fish - which all stayed alive and were returned to the water. very recommendable

Two brothers greatest adventure My brother and I went through life working, living, doing our own thing but never really doing things together. Since retirement we taken several trips and reconnected but by far this was the most memorable. Thank you captain Mike Gorshon for your professional efforts in making our trip the best under bad conditions.

Fly Fisher Approved I fished Lake Ida with Jeff Brooks. Jeff was very knowledgeable about the waters and the fish within them. I had a great time landing Peacocks and Largemouth bass on the fly.

fishing the guide was excellent captain Wayne fellows would get him again it made our vacation he was so polite and new his stuff. we are both advide fishing people and to get a guide like this was absolutely wonderful

Highly recommend! I called to book a charter the night before I was wanting to go out fishing. She was super helpful, got us all set up. Guide was beyond amazing! Captain Dave put us on them! We were targeting peacock bass which isn't easy or ideal in December. But we rocked it anyways! Will return personally multiple times per year..

Peacock Bass Fishing We had Robert Miley for a guide and he was excellent. We caught lots of fish from a pound to 3.5 lbs. Will definitely be back when the top water bite is on. Robert kept us moving when the bite slowed at a spot he moved us and we started catching them again.

Peacock bass trip Catching peacock bass was on my bucket list and Captain Wayne put us on them 10 min after we were in the boat. We had a great time and are planning another trip with him next summer.

Great Trip Our group trip was excellent! You get concerned initially because the size of the boat doesn't look like it will accommodate 4 people, but it did. Our Captain was very good with communication the night before and the day of. He made sure we were all comfortable and knew what we were doing. He was intentional about everyone catching fish and we all did. He also gave us a tour around the water showing us million dollar homes. I would do this again!!!

Great Guide, Great Fishing Check one off the bucket list. Peacock Bass are one of the prettiest freshwater fish out there, plus they give an awesome battle once hooked. Capt. Mike Groshon me us on time, early in fact, and took three of us out on this fishing trip. He is quite familiar with the lake, and brought us to inland canals, perfect Peacock Bass habitat, where we fished for these amazing creatures. We also saw Iguanas on land, various birds and a gator. No surprise there. Capt. Mike is the most personable guide I've ever had, and kept up with the three of us with bait, un-hooking fish, and setting up the perfect camera angles for these beauties. If you ever get a chance to fish in Southern Florida, near Deerfield Beach for Peacock Bass, Captain Mike is the guide to call. We chose the four hour afternoon fishing, since our schedules did not align in the morning, so it was hot and beautiful. Water was provided, but you must bring your own snacks. There is NO bathroom on the boat, so be prepared. At the end of the day, we had a bunch of great pictures and some lasting stories to tell. C'mon, check one off the list and catch a Peacock Bass or two.

peacock bass trip we had a great time fishing with our guide, he was very knowledgeable and very helpful we bought 8 dozen shad for our trip and we fished four hours and used everyone of them along with the fact that one bait one fish!! Definitely would go on this trip again

Peacocks! My wife and I both grew up fishing and go every chance we get now. Thanks to captain Mike Groshon we had the best day fishing we have ever had! We caught well over 50 fish mostly Peacocks. We're already planning our trip with him again next year. Absolutely amazing fishing trip!!!!

Had a great time! We actually booked for two days and so glad we did. Fishing is always a question, you can’t make fish bite. The first lake we tried we caught very few, so we tried another location day two, best move ever! More than 40 caught that day. One thing negative is we were never told we had to pay for bait. It was a surprise that morning.

Absolutely wonderful!! We spent a whole day on the lakes.... 9 hours in the georgeous Florida weather... and it was AMAZING!!!!!!!! We had the best captain anyone could ask for!! The weather cooperated the whole day and Capt Doug had us on fish literally all day!!! There was never a stop that we didn’t catch fish!! We caught 3 different species and that’s what my husband wanted!! Thank you for an awesome time!!!

Kirk was great. Spent half a day fishing Peacocks Bass with Kirk. Put me on fish right away. Had a great time and learned a lot about fishing the area.

Peacock Bass Fishing My husband and I booked a 4 hour trip with Capt Wayne to go peacock bass fishing in the canals off of Lake Ida. This was a “bucket list” trip for our 15 year old fish loving son. Our 10 year old son who doesn’t love to fish also came along. Capt Wayne was very knowledgeable and was a great guide. Although the fish weren’t biting real well the day we went, he still made sure we caught several and took pictures of us with the fish. In all, it was a great trip and I would highly recommend using this guide service and Capt Wayne!

Peacocks on Lake Ida with Capt. Kirk Osborne Capt Kirk Osborne provided a great trip, he was extremely patient with my 6 and 7 year old boys. He made sure we each caught our first Peacock bass and went above and beyond what I would expect from a guide. Thanks Capt Kirk!

Bucket List Trip Capt. Joe Gruny was a knowledgeable, patient guide for our trip today. My 15-year-old son has always wanted to catch a Peacock Bass and this trip did not disappoint. We used live bait and it was worth the extra cost. Joe definitely knew every spot where they were biting. Bass Online seems to have really high standards and multiple required certifications for their guides so your family will be in good hands!

Huge Peacock Bass Bass Online ROCKS !! Fished with Captain Robert Miley at Lake Ida 6/8/18 and caught double figures peacock bass, the two largest 3.5 #, and 4#. Robert Miley is a true professional with years of bass fishing experience. I have fished with him over 20 times the past 3 years and we always catch fish.Going back to Chicago next week but I can't wait to go bass fishing this coming November.Go with Laurie @ Bass Online.

Great day A day fishing with my Son and Grandson is priceless. Capt. Brett worked hard to put us on fish which he did. We want to catch peacock bass and we did. The boat is first rate as is the fishing equipment. Highly recommended.
